Cool New from Gary Garritan - Garritan Bird Orchestral Library!!!

New from Gary Garritan: The Garritan Bird Orchestral Library (GBO)! Have you ever wanted to add that authentic bird sound to your symphonic movement? Well, wait no more!!! These truly remarkable bird sounds will add spice to your music. Add the call of the Blue Jay, the cry of the Peregrine Falcon, or the song of the Baltimore Oriole to your symphony, brass ensemble or jazz sextet for that "one-of-a-kind" creative sound. Surprise your friends with the songs of the Cedar Waxwing or the Black Phoebe! And as an added bonus, we'll include, free of charge, the authentic sound of the Grazaybian Leatherneck Turkey Vulture, especially helpful when you have trouble keeping your kids home at night! So come one, come all!!!

No birds were harmed in the making of this library. Do not use bird calls to attract a mate. Avoid using bird calls on pets as it may cause bodily harm (mainly YOU!). Not to be used while driving, sleeping, eating, taking a shower or drinking Tequila!

    Oh, and, April Fools!!!

    Ha! Good one!

Hey Randy...here's a start for your Bird library:

In theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is.

Then, of course, there's the 'ol "flipping the bird". . .

(By the way, the photos found on this "Bird Songs" video are quite lovely! )

I believe there is a place for birdsong in music -- as have other composers. But I would not want to get too terribly authentic with it, otherwise I would probably be appointed to clean up the mess after the concert.
