    Smile Acoustic Guitar Pieces

Now for something different ! After offering symphonies and concertos, here in the following weeks, are 4 groups of 4 short pieces for the classical guitar. I composed them, about 2 years ago, for my French daughter-in-law, who had just started to study the acoustic guitar. I called them "Morceaux Musicales". I hope that you enjoy them. Antony

Antony! I enjoyed you pieces very much. They have a very traditional feel to them which I liked. I am sure that your daughter-in-law was pleased.
    Thanks for posting these.

Hi Jay, thank you very much indeed for your encouraging comments ! I have had the pleasure of looking at your 'threads' and to listening to some of them.

I particularly liked 'Elves in the church' and was most impressed with the sound quality of
"Never so alone' (classical guitar 07-14-2011).

My 4 groups of 4 'Morceaux Musicales' were given to Instruments for Finale, acoustic guitar . Your sound is more authentic and I greatly enjoyed listening to the piece.

    All the best, Antony

Hi, Antony---Lovely folk/classical guitar pieces. I enjoyed all of them--And you've posted them here because you used the guitar in the Garritan JABB Library--? I wasn't sure of what the connection was between what you posted and the topic of this Forum.

Hi Randy, I am very pleased that you enjoyed the first four of the sixteen guitar pieces that I am going to post in the next few weeks - just for the hell of it !

A little later, I wrote a 'Suite' on the subject of El Cid, for full orchestra, but featuring the solo classical guitar. I based the storyline, not on the Charlton Heston movie story, but on the story used by the French opera composer,Massenet, in his Grand Opera, El Cid. It has a much happier ending !! I will eventually POST my Suite.

I obtained the guitar from ' Garritan Instruments for Finale'

Sorry to 'go on a bit', very best wishes, Antony
