Nice piece and a great mother!!!! I'll hope being able to play the piano when I am 90 years old.
    Congratulations.

I'm happy you enjoyed it Larry.

I definitely took a few chances on this one.

    Thank you for the comments.

I dropped you on your head when you were a baby- My ex-aunt Peggy's recent confession. Possibly one of those life changing events.

    I appreciate your positive comments.

My mother really lights up when she plays. She has no idea what she is playing but it really gives her pleasure.

I also hope that the music one have inside is something that you never loose no matter what.

    Thanks Raymond.

    Re: Warp

    Hi Phil,

What a different and creative piece of music ... I was washed away in the sound. When the opening hits that first bass entrance ... wow; very emotional (at least to me). The whole piece was so emotional; the ending just brought it to an even deeper level. And I loved the way you made this a real 'mixed media' piece; music from wherever ... very cool.

Thank God not every musician stays inside the box ... thanks for creating and posting this; I really enjoyed it.

    Best regards,

    Frank

I'm happy you enjoyed this one Frank.

I kind of hop around musically and am not very disciplined so I just come up with whatever happens.

I went out there a little further with this one so I'm glad that it makes some sort of sense to people.

Thanks a lot for the nice comments.

    Hiya Phil,

Cool development, and a really eclectic blend of instruments! You've explored the edge of timbre in this one, with the strings chilling out as a constant. Ears certainly don't get bored listening to this one.

From a programming/mix perspective, might I suggest massaging the choir parts a bit more? They seem a little disconnected, especially in the beginning.

Hello Phil, I read the description for this last week and have been wanting to listen to it since. I finally got around to it tonight! This is great, and the title is perfect. You have some very interesting shifts from one section to the next that certainly make this sound very wandering. It also sounds very ethereal at times, and I think you did a great job blending GPO with other sounds, thanks for sharing!

Yeah, I was trying to create a strange brew. I'm glad you found it interesting.

I went back to midi on that track and saw I hadn't finished editing it. I gave it more legatto and also did a little tweaking in the audio track.

Thanks for the comments and suggestion.

    Re: Warp

    Michael,

It's a wandering one all right. I wasn't trying to make the sections really link with any sort of over-all theme but left it up to the listener to find something in it.

The IK Multimedia samples do go well with the Garritan Libraries. The female voices I used also make use of the mod wheel for expression.

    I'm glad you liked it.
