    Long time no see....

    How are you all?

I have focused on classical music study (harmony, counterpoint, fugue, etc.) for a while and for long time did not fire up GPO.

Now, I have finished my first fugue, under supervision of my composition teacher, so that I would like to share it. It was written on Finale 2008 and exported as MIDI file and performed by GPO piano on SONAR 5.

    Thank you.

    Welcome back Jun,

counterpoint and jazz have always been a perfect knowledge mix, producing wonderful contamination by great artists.

My best wishes looking forward to your next achievements.

(...ok you know I'm the maniac including a short fugue in every single piece he posted for Garritan Xmas CD....LOL..)

Finally. He is still here. Studying music is time consuming and intensive, I know. Since I am retired I have all time of the world for this. I am glad you are back at the forum. Go on.

    Nice to see you back,

    Raymond

    Greetings, Jun!

Good to see you have returned after such a long absence. I thought perhaps you got lost diving to the bottom of Yokohama Harbor looking for my cornet mouthpiece.

    Jun:

An excellent fugue. Your composition teacher must be proud of you and we are thankful that you have returned to the Garritan Stage to let us hear it.

Hope to see you hear more often. I have always enjoyed your music.

Any chance of a .pdf of the music?

if Jack says it's a good fugue then it meets the criteria for a fugue.

Fugues are so fun, and they don't have to be ten minutes long.
A reverb with a shorter tail (smaller room) will allow the fugue to sound more energetic.
    just a little tip

    Thanks Jun,

Thank you, Fabio. I am now writing a string quartet and I may enter some contest with it.

    Thank you, Dan.

Do you know a man called Urashima in a Japanese old tale? He visited a fantastic ocean paradise and fell in love with sea princess. After he came back to the real world he could not find anyone he knew. Yes, like Rip Van Winkle.

But here are many friends still. It is very very special.
