Ok folks, let's get em goin'
For those of you who have never joined the fun,, you should!
Each year people who use Garritan libraries are able to choose a Christmas song that is public domain,
and produce a recording using samples from any of the various Garritan Libraries.
Garritan Orchestral Strings
Garritan Personal Orchestra
Garritan Jazz and Big Band
Garritan Concert and Marching Band
Garritan Steinway Concert Grand
Garritan World
Garritan Instant Orchestra
All of these libraries can be used.
Sounds from other sample developers CAN NOT BE USED.
Vocals can be used in conjunction with your Garritan recording.
Here are some guidelines to consider when contributing your music.
Each song can not be longer than four minutes.
The song should be a wave file, preferably not an MP3.
Each person can choose only one song.
October 31st is the deadline to submit the song.
Choosing a song and submitting it does not guarantee that it will be included in the project.
Every song is evaluated for good style, arranging, and recording quality.
Garritan does not sell CD's of this music and does not profit from this project.
Your song is offered as a free Christmas offering and is a gift to the whole world.
If you choose to write an original Christmas song you can offer that instead of a public domain song however,
it can not be something you wrote for your cousin's funeral, instead, it should reflect a cheery Christmas spirit.
