I know I'm just a newbie, but may I get involved? I'd like to try "Angels We Have Heard On High".
Thanks Rich,

Man, All the good ones are taken....
Can i do an original composition based on all of those and to showcase GPO4 (Call it: Christmas Overture)
Are Original Compositions even accepted???
Thanks,
Quinn
Can be used some real instrument recording along with garritan samples? Im thinking in a recorder i like to play.
Marcelo Colina
Marce,
Instruments in this project are limited to Garritan sounds, so real instruments are frowned upon because the listener assumes that everything he or she is hearing is Garritan samples, with the exception of voices, which would be clearly evident.
In the past, there have been a few songs included in the project that had real instruments which really isn't fair.
There are way too many pieces of music posted almost daily in the listening room on this forum that are mainly sounds from libraries that are clearly NOT Garritan and they claim to have,.... quote,,, oboe and flute from GPO. Yeah right.
It is the main reason I almost never even go there anymore, I just get so aggravated at the music people post and claim it is.... "a few other libraries". I used to call people on it and the poster would claim I have no idea what I'm talking about, and it just ticked off some people, so I quit listening and policing, and just let people think it's all Garritan.
Quinn,
A medley of the songs that have already been chosen is not a wise thing to do and most assuredly would not make "the cut",
there are a lot of songs in the public domain, do a Google Search for public domain christmas songs
from my original post...
If you choose to write an original Christmas song you can offer that instead of a public domain song however,
it can not be something you wrote for your cousin's funeral, instead, it should reflect a cheery Christmas spirit.
Dan
After a multi-year absence I'd like to throw my hat in--if I may--with "In the bleak midwinter."
Thanks!
