But there's still room for more this year. -

As is pointed out each year during the development time for these CD pieces - good intentions are sometimes waylaid by the reality of busy schedules. In other words, there are always some entries on the posted list that aren't completed. And Dan and Gary are best off when they have a lot of tracks to choose from - better they receive more than can fit on to the CD.

So - If you're willing and able, I think you should think of an unclaimed song and go for it!

If you still want to enter this song, why not just draw Dan's attention to your post; a gentle reminder. This would be the amicable and positive thing to do.

Of course, if you no longer wish to offer a song then this is different.
There you go Quinn .. it's just as I thought.

Now Dan has added your entry to the list I hope that you feel better.

Now you need to get busy on your song; there's just 20 weeks or so to get your song finished and sent in.

How's everyone doing with their Christmas projects?

I've sure been having a great time with mine. I've done the arrangement and the mix, and I re-visit it about once a month to see how I feel about the previous work - make adjustments as the spirit moves me. It's such a kick to be working on Christmas music during the hottest time of the year!

And the list still looks a bit slim to me. On the average, about 1/4 of the intended entries don't get finished. SO, seems to me it would be helpful to Dan and Gary if some more folks volunteered more pieces.

It's a great tradition we have going with the Garritan Community Christmas CD - let's keep it up!

    Hello Randy,

Yours is a great and timely thread. It's just over 10 weeks to the deadline.

I've been very, very busy on mine giving what time I had available in my very busy, hectic schedule and have kept at it since Dan announced the project.

I'm pleased to say that I'm just about at the same stage as yourself. In fact I could actually send it in whenever Dan is ready to receive our entries.

This is indeed a beautiful tradition that Gary has given us and being blessed with Dan's hand on the helm is wonderful.

I echo your call; 'Let's keep it up'.

Can I still join this and announce that I would like to do 'Silent Night'?
