There are a lot of different options from electric to acoustic. I think you\'ll find they really sit in a track. Don Grusin and George Duke use them and fool people.
for e-bass have also a look on Xsample 1. There is a 5 string-bass with 31 (!) different presets including 11 different sounds (with fret noise programmed as fadeable release switch) and 437 top quality bass samples. By the way there are also a good rhodes and a wurlitzer on this CD. You will find this CD in the best of list at the best service web.
