    timpani update

Just thought I would let everyone know that I am finishing up the programing on the timpani library and I decided to put a little \"extra\" features in for the extra creative people out there. I made a bass timpani, alto timpani, and soprano timpani file with all of the \"legato hits\" files. Each one has a little feature with the mod wheel that should be really fun.

The bass one kind\'ve sounds like thunder!

Let me know what you thnk....

This first example is without any effects (no reverb or eq)

The second one has a little \"maxx bass\" and tc reverb.

Relly neat Donnie. I personally love stuff like this. The Mod filter stuff is cool sounding. It\'ll be great to use to make Sound effects or washy noises. And also great for those electronic Orchestral scorelike tracks.

    Re: timpani update

I realize it\'s a simple enough thing to edit myself, but it would be great if you could set a pitch bend value of 12 for all your instruments.

That makes detuning REALLY simple & fast for those of us who want to experiment with the sounds. And you probably weren\'t going to use the pitch bend for anything else, right?

I end up setting a pitch bend of 12 on virtually all the instruments I use, especially percussion.

    Re: timpani update

    Chris,

As I\'m sure you have gussed these \"special\" instruments were just for guys like you. I remebered you telling me that you liked to take the timpani and move it down an octave so I figured I would do it for you and add a few extra features to it.

I have all the instruments set up with a 4 pitch bend since that is realistic for actual timpani playing but on the \"special effect\" timpani I\'ll set them to 12 just for you!

    Thanks for the idea Chris,

    Donnie

    Francis,

    Good to hear from you

The revolutionary snare will be in the snare upgrade/update coming out in a month or two.

    Keep up the good work!
