    Question ARIA: .SFZ file won't PAN (L/R)

    Hi all, I have created/converted a .sfz file and it doesn't want to PAN left or right in the Aria Player mixer.
    Any advice would be great.

    Thanks.

    That's right - 3rd party SFZs can be imported into ARIA, but none of ARIA's usual controls will work on them, including panning. If you're using ARIA in a recording program, all you do is use that host's controls instead.

    The ARIA Mixer tab responds/sends General MIDI CC values. The pan knob will respond/send MIDICC value 10, and Volume Slider will respond/send MIDICC7 according to the MIDI channel that the instrument slot is set to.

    So inside your custom sfz you'll need to add a panning control based on CC10, otherwise the instrument doesn't know what to do with MIDICC10.

    Within your sfz add:

    Code:
    <control>
    set_cc10=63

    <global>
    pan_oncc10=100 pan_curvecc10=1

    If you already have a global section just add those lines within it.

    Hope this helps, good luck with your custom instruments!
