Deseased Maurice André, a great trumpet player

Searching the net I stumbled upon the message that Maurice André, one of the greatest classical trumpettist died on the 25 of februari. My wife and I, we witnessed some performances by this great player in the old days.

That is sad news. I have several of his recordings. They helped me in college with my baroque studies. Rest in peace, Maurice André.
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is.

That is too bad. He was formative to my concept of what a good trumpet sound is/was. I think he had a few of the young virtuosos as students as of late.

Yeah...too bad. I thought most people were aware, so I didn't post.

Maurice Andre was an inspiration for those of us who exist in the world of bass and tenor clef as well.
