    Needing a Midi Loopback Driver, please....

    Hey, can ya\'ll please recommend a very good \"Midi Loopback Driver\". I guess that I will need to have it in order to use this VOTA utility in GigaStudio along with Sonar XL. (Preferably, one that\'ll work well with Windows XP Pro.) Thanks! I really appreciate your help. Gary [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

    MidiYoke has been known to cause problems with some Giga systems. I used to use it, and found it to have some nice features, but it wasn\'t user friendly. I\'d try it last.

    I\'m using Connection Center with great success. It seems to be really tight, efficient and simple code. It starts and stops instantly, and works with minimal latency (unmeasured, but I can play through it live) on my machine. And it\'s really simple to use.

    Oh, one consideration... I found that Windows shuts down much faster if I disconnect the CC connections and exit the program before exiting Windows. I\'ve been doing some tweaks, so maybe that\'s no longer an issue. I\'ll have to test that...

    I use the MarbleSound driver (the same one from Garritan Strings), and i never had a problem with it (i had some problems with others midi loopback drivers).

    If you go at www.marblesound.com, you can download the MarbleSound tools, that includes the driver...

    Try the MIDI Connection Center from http://www.musiclabs.com. They\'re the MidiOverLan people.
