JABB 3 won't authorise

I've just loaded Garritan JABB3 and registered, got my product activation key, followed all the guidelines but every time I open it up, either as standalone of in Logic 9 on my 2009 iMac it says

Your copy of Garritan Aria Player is not activated. Etc

so I drop on my PAK and get

Aria Engine Activation. Garritan Jazz and Big Band 3 is now activated

except if I leave the page or open up Logic again I get the same original message. If I do nothing it goes silent. In fact even if I drop the key on it goes silent anyway.

I've been at this for half a day now and slowly going crazy!
Any help gratefully received.

This sounds like a question for support. You could try posting this in the General Discussion Forum, maybe someone will have an answer for you.

Maybe after you activate aria etc, you need Logic to rescan for the newly activated VST.
i don't use Logic so I'm grasping at straws probably.

Yes eventually. I updated the ARIA player and the engine and after that it worked.
