I am a great lover of simplicity, Matteo; and the outlines of this piece
I find deeply satisfying. A pleasure! The piece says what it has to say,
does so clearly and succinctly, and leaves us elevated for its lack of
pretension and the lucidity of its emotion.
My one suggestion is that you consider revisting this, expanding it a bit,
developing it a little. And you might relax the performance into the end
of it, to bring it to a more leisurely and conclusionary closing.
By the way, I also like the GPO piano. Its clean, clear character works
well with your material.
I With this piece I just developed an idea that came to me one evening playing while playing the piano...
Now here's someone we certainly don't hear from often enough. Matteo "Bosone" - My wife and I just now had a wonderful time hearing your piano piece on the speakers. We felt like we were snuggled up to a warm fireplace - and that's a good trick, since we don't have a fireplace!
Loved this much, and felt there was some very interesting material in the middle part that I would have liked to hear again, maybe juxtaposed in a gentle way with the main theme which is dwelt on in the second half.
Such a sweet, plaintive piano piece ... really nice; I enjoyed the introspective listen.
On your Soundcloud page you asked for title suggestions ... how about "Lessons Of The Heart" ("Lezioni Di Cuore")? To me, your piece portrays a generally pleasant, happy retrospective look at past loves, but with little forays into the times when the loves didn't quite work out. Yes, I have a vivid imagination! LOL
