    On Golden Pond all Garritan

This was a fun thread that was originally posted in the Garritan Steinway section.

Later down the thread a very interesting challenge came up.

    Hi Dan!

Funny, but I was just going to PM you and ask if you could re-post one of YOUR classic score recreations ... Thanks for doing this!! .

My God, Dan, you could sub for Grusin on piano on his studio recordings; you 'play' such heartfelt piano; amazing that you are not a pianist! Just goes to show how great your ears are and your ability to capture and recreate human inflection so sensitively. Kudos to the GAS too!

Simply gorgeous ... loons and all!

Hello Dan! This is just splendid. The first time I heard this was actually when you posted the live version in the general discussion forum a while back. I still remember that very well, and it is great to hear this incredible recording again, thanks!

Perfect, Dan - The Perfect choice for our big Listening Room Festival. Like Frank, I was ready to PM you and ask purty please for you to post something. Actually, I was going to request this very piece. Our newer members who haven't heard this are in for a very special treat - And good move to post links to the original threads.

Wonderful - Thanks so much, Dan.

Oh boy Dan, that was totally lovely!! You are indeed the Master - what penetrating quality of tone! The emotional ambiance you've created has a truly palpable substance, which BTW is what makes your renders so distinctive. Really outstanding, Dan!
Thanks for the re-post in celebration of the Summer Festival, I loved it!

As always, your ears are just amazing. At times I feel like that seen in Amadeus where Solieri feels mute compared Mozart.

Thanks for posting this again, it a truly amazing piece of work.

As deeply moving and absolutely beautiful as the first time I heard your rendition of this, Dan.

Gorgeous work on this -- the conducting and performance are just spendid.

Not to mention it's one of my all-time favorite themes... to hear it done so perfectly is a great delight for me.

    Thank you, my friend.

    With admiration,
