    Dancing Dolphins - EWI Trumpet

I asked my daughter to tell what this tune made her think of and she said "dolphins dancing", so here are some:

    Dancing Dolphins

Aria EWI USB Trumpet (Band version)
Yamaha Digital piano played and recorded live.
UPDATED: Lush Sordino Instant Orchestra Strings
UPDATED AGAIN: Cello, Choirs, and Harp
UPDATED LAST TIME: Remix the balance of melody and strings.

    Lovely tune, Jim! Very moving.

Could we maybe get you to pull in some strings? In mind's ear,
this would sound great with more pad around it.

    All the best,

    Thanks Randy and David,

I know my daughter will be tickled at the response. With regard to the strings, I had kind of thought about that, but now that you have made it public, I think I will have to give it a go.

Hello Jim, thanks for sharing this short piece! I always have a difficult time titling my music, you are so lucky to have help! This piece is very nice, I would love to hear what it sounds like with strings as well!

Well, I took David up on the idea for some strings. I started out with "lots" of things and movement, but didn't like where it was going. So, I added a simple Lush Sordino strings from Instant Orchestra and was the most happy with this rendition.

This is an excellent and moving piece. I love your EWI playing. You made it a very real performance with your touch of vibrato and sensitivity. My only suggestion would be to bring those strings forward and the climax points in the melody and let them sing! (just my humble opinion and only that).

    Great listening piece, Thank you

Thanks Rich. I have to admit I am struggling with how to get the strings to fit into this piece. I took another stab and included some cello and two of the GIO choirs to get it more depth along with a more dramatic crescendo with the GIO glissando harp. This seems better overall

I really like this revised version. It sounds so much richer. I would like to hear an extended version of this piece. It has so much to offer.

Hello again, Jim! Those swells are much more pronounced with the strings to back them up. It's really a nice touch, and certainly not over-done. Nice arranging, and thanks for the update!
