    Summer Funk

Here's my first attempt at writing funk. It's a short little piece that I wrote one night a few years back because I wanted to have something to jam on with a few jazz friends of mine. It's a bit monotonous as I meant for it to be more for improv, hence the empty solo section in the middle. Written and recorded in Finale using Garritan instruments for Finale

Hopefully this recording is a little better.

Howdy, David - whoops - you've left the reverb at 100%, so it's pretty much lost in a cacophonous build up of reflections. --Can you open up the file to make a new rendering, and dial the reverb way back, like to around 80% dry, 20% wet? It's difficult to listen to with these settings - sorry.

But I get the concept - you were putting together a rhythm track for a jam session. Cool idea.

Changed the link to a new recording, hopefully it sounds better now, let me know if not.

Also, I'm not nearly as skilled with jazz in Finale than with orchestral music, so my human playback might be a bit off lol

While this rendering does lack the finesse that experience
will bring to you, David, it does have what I call "good
bones" -- well put together, all the right ingredients are
    there.

    Keep it coming!

    All the best,

    David
