"Honey Pie" has got to be one of my favorite "Randy tracks" now. Such charm, but also such professionalism in the production; absolutely wonderful. I wanted to hire the sax player for a gig this Friday night because he sounded so good, LOL.

    Ah ah ah.

The turntable at both beginning and end is fantastic! Does the scratching needle belongs to any particular Garritan library?

    Veeeeeeeeery good!

Rodney! Thanks for the cake, and for the rave review. Actually, that Sax player just might be available for a gig.

Fabio! Glad you heard this, I loved working on it. - You know, it would be fun if Garritan developed a good sound effects Library. There are many online resources for sounds though, so it probably wouldn't attract a huge interest - but if he did, you can bet the sounds would have some special Garritan magic.

    Thanks for the thumbs up!

That's a neat ambience that you've managed to create there.

Though when I heard the scrape at the end... with headphones on and the volume up... *cringes*

Loving the sax. Thinking maybe it could have sounded a tad bit more enthusiastic at places, but eh, that's starting to nitpick into personal preferences...

Thanks for bumping this one back up!

Ha! Matt "Silh," You got the full tilt CRINGE reaction I wanted with that loud needle scrape at the end. Shocking!--especially on phones.

My whole goal with this re-creation of the Beatles tune was to be very restrained, cool, in that laid-back way of music from the era, so different from the later, flashier playing styles. You may have liked my jazzier first version of the Sax lead, but I pulled back its "enthusiasm" so it could dreamily groove in just the way I wanted it. So it's not really a matter of "taste" in a general way, - I had a very particular effect in mind for this track.

I'm glad at least a few people have heard the project on this, its second life on the Forum.

    Thanks, Matt!
