    "Crash And Burn"

    All,

I haven't posted for quite a while because my decrepit old computer isn't working. It appears that my boot drive has crashed! There's much work to be done before things are back to normal.

I am using a friend's computer to post this message.

    Best regards to everyone.

What a pain in the boot drive!
Writing music for the joy of it. (with Windows 7 64bit, Intel i7 processor, 12GB memory, LOTS of disk space, Finale 2014, Garritan GPO, JABB3, COMB, Steinway, World Instruments, & Soundiron Olympus Micro Choir. And if I ever figure out how to use Sonar X2...the sky's the limit)

    Man,
What a drag!! What am I gonna do about my "Alexander Fix" when I want it???

Written from my new 4-core whizbang laptop with 17.5" screen, Windoze 8, 8gB of RAM, and 750gB HDD.

Treat yerself to a new machine, why don'tcha?

    Hi Larry,

Sorry to hear of your boot drive woes, but better that our computers become old and decrepit rather than their users!

I don't remember what part of the world Texas is in, but I'm sure it's New Years there by now ... Happy New Year and a speedy recovery for your PC!

I would rather have root canal work done on my teeth than try to repair and restore my old 'puter!

I would love to have a new machine but I am a pauper, unfortunately.

    Have a great 2013!

I don't know what data I have lost at this time. I made backups to external drives but that was quite a while ago. I have learned a valuable lesson: Make frequent backups of data!

    Thanks for your message.
