OT: Roland VM-7100 Mixer as Control Surface

I am considering buying a Roland Digital VM-7100 Mixer. Anybody here have experience using it as a MIDI control surface - particularly with Cubase SX?

    Thanks

    Hi
Ive used it with the processor as a complete digital mixer , I know there are a few people on the VM7000 yahoo website that have used it as a Midi control surface[they also have the processor for patching , but if you dont need it as a digital mixer as they do you wont need the processor]
Ive seen post on there from someone using it in Cubase SX.
The moderater ,his name is David ,uses it as a control surface in Sonar and has a Studio Panel for the VM mixers to work with Sonar to download free from that site.
Just check with the sequencer manufacture if your not sure that your sequencer recieves MMC,which is a pretty standard midi protocol.

There are alot of people using it as a digital mixer and a control surface for there sequencer, Ill check with David and see if he knows anyone using it as a control surface by itself.
