Topic: Abbreviations

1. #1

I have been reading the message board for almost a year, but this is my first post. Could someone please provide a list of abbreviations used for the various sound libraries? Although some are obvious, it can be quite confusing to read the messages if you do not know what the abbreviations mean.

DDSS = Dan Dean\'s solo strings
DDWW = Dan Dean\'s solo woodwinds (or is it DDWS?)
DDBS = Dan Dean\'s solo brass
DDBE = Dan Dean\'s brass ensembles
QLSO = Quantum Leap/East Wests symphony orch.
QLRI = Quantum Leap Rare instruments
VOTA = Voices of the apocalypse (Quantum Leap)
US = Ultimate strings

Re: Abbreviations

Hi Richard, I recently made a request to the forum moderators for an explanation of terms here;

Books, CD ROMS, websites, all have legends/help/keys/faqs, etc. I think it is reasonable to ask for the same here.

It is frustrating to be closely following a thread when someone suddenly says; \"no use LOP!\"

Regards, Scott.
